AI and Human computer Interaction
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is the study of the design, assessment, and implementation of information and communication technologies with the goal of enhancing user experiences, task efficiency, and overall quality of life. Some also fear that in the future, AI systems will absolutely reject humans, rendering them powerless.
Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and MIT have developed human-centered AI (HAI) research institutes in response to these concerns. Their HAI research strategies emphasize that the next frontier of AI is not only technical, but also humanistic and ethical: AI is intended to supplement, not substitute, humans. According to Stanford University researchers, AI research and development should concentrate on three goals: to reflect the depth of human intelligence scientifically, to enhance rather than replace human capacities, and to focus on AI’s effect on humans. Several leading high-tech organizations have published guiding principles for AI technology growth, processes, resources, and training, advocating for AI solutions that are responsible, ethical, safe, and inclusive.
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is the study of how to improve the performance and efficacy of human-computer interfaces by creating new software and hardware that can understand and perceive human characteristics and behavior. By offering more realistic and efficient ways for a user to connect with a real or virtual world, advances in HCI technology will lead to improved virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences.

These technologies may be implemented on wearable devices such as smart watches, smart glasses and health trackers.
